FamTrac 2000 Features
Program Operation
FamTrac 2000 operates like other programs written for Windows. You can
use your mouse or the keyboard to navigate through the program. FamTrac's
different modules (such as work orders, employees, inventory, etc.) are
displayed in their own windows which you can minimize, maximize, resize
or move.
Password Feature
The FamTrac Password Feature lets the FamTrac administrator set up three
levels of access for each menu option, for each user.
The three password levels are: No Access (users cannot access a menu),
View Only (users can only view or search for a record), and Full Access
(users can add, edit, and delete records).
Passwords are encrypted, preventing anyone from viewing passwords in the
database.
FamTrac's Numbering System
FamTrac tracks work orders, inventory, employees, etc. with an intelligent
numbering system.
For example, the work order number has four parts, each providing specific
information: the work order type (PM, emergency, etc.), the craft or shop
performing the work, the work order week (week the order was issued),
and the orders's sequential number. The equipment number has three parts:
the building number (the equipment location), the equipment type, and
the sequential number.
Efficient Work Order Creation and Closeout
FamTrac lets you predefine your work order add and work order close screens.
You can tell FamTrac which fields on these screens you want to access
and which to skip.
During closeout, you can tell FamTrac to prompt you to charge inventory
and employee hours to the work order or not.
Bar Code Scanning
With FamTrac's Barcode Feature, you can scan work order numbers, inventory
item numbers and employee numbers to facilitate faster work order closeout.
Printed Work Order Formats
FamTrac has numerous printed formats for work orders. Or you can have
us create a customized format for you.
Track Employee Hours and Inventory Disbursals
FamTrac lets you track all types of employee hours (hours charged to work
orders, vacation, sick time, etc.), and inventory items disbursed to work
orders too.
Custom PM Scheduling
With FamTrac, you can schedule your preventive maintenance procedures
at fixed intervals or at random intervals for seasonal maintenance.
FamTrac's Reporting Feature
FamTrac has on-screen reporting for quick previews before actual printing.
FamTrac has sophisticated sorting and selection criteria for each report,
allowing flexible customizing for your specific needs. An example is shown

Paperless Work Orders
With an optional FamTrac module, you can transfer your preventive maintenance
work orders to a hand-held computer, instead of printing them. Click here
